Five-axis machining for aerospace components

Heller Machine Tools has revealed that its advanced F-series five-axis machining centre range has received a high level of interest from the global aerospace industry since its launch in spring 2010. Rob Smith, technical sales manager at Dormer Tools, considered that the FT 4000 machine from the new F-series would meet Dormer’s requirements for a high-power, high-torque, five-axis machining centre. Having proved the machine’s worth, Heller will soon be installing an FT 4000 at Dormer Tools’ facility in Sheffield, providing both companies with an ideal demonstration facility
