CAD Railway Ltd lands refurbishment contract

JONQUIÈRE, Que .— Rio Tinto Alcan will double its production of AIRWARE alloys at its Dubuc plant in Quebec. AIRWARE is composed of various complementary, low-density materials that are used in space programs such as NASA’s Orion and Space X’s Falcon 9. Rio Tinto said it is boosting fabrication in order to meet the requirements of a new contract with Constellium’s Global Aerospace division.
