Mississauga: Nissan Canada will debut the advanced, all-electric Nissan e-NV200 Concept at the 2012 Canadian International Auto Show (CIAS) in Toronto this February.

The e-NV200 is one of several all-electric vehicles set to join the Nissan LEAF in dealerships in the coming years. On the other end of the automotive spectrum, the 2013 Nissan GT-R will make its Canadian debut in Toronto, with some impressive enhancements under the hood.

In 2011, Nissan entered the commercial vehicle segment in Canada in a big way with the launch of the Nissan NV commercial van, supported by a network of Nissan Commercial Vehicle dealers across the country. The fully-electric Nissan e-NV200 Concept provides a glimpse into a near-future production version of the van designed to provide businesses with flexible, roomy interior space, while achieving a dramatic CO2 footprint reduction.

Based on the Nissan NV200 which was selected as New York City’s “Taxi of Tomorrow”, combined with the Nissan LEAF’s advanced, all-electric powertrain, the e-NV200 is positioned to shake up the segment when it goes into production in 2014.
Also gracing the show floor will be Nissan’s legendary flagship sports car—the GT-R. For model year 2013, the Nissan GT-R receives a number of engine and suspension enhancements, all designed to enhance its performance. The major refinements include: improved intake efficiency, reduced airflow resistance including an enlarged air intake duct for the intercooler, improved exhaust emissions efficiency and enhanced control. The 3.8-litre twin turbo V6 engine continues to be hand-assembled in a special clean room, and its efficiency was improved with horsepower up to 545 hp and torque 463 lb-ft.

The 2013 Nissan GT-R is offered in two models—the new Nissan GT-R Premium and the Nissan GT-R Black Edition sporting special lightweight black aluminum forged RAYS wheels, unique read and black interior, Recaro leather-appointed seats and a new dry carbon fibre rear spoiler.
