World Machinery and Lantek establish partnership

Mitsubishi laser profiler agent World Machinery has initiated a software partnership deal with CADCAM integration specialist Lantek.

The deal coincides with the introduction of the latest generation of Lantek’s Expert Cut software, designed specifically to integrate laser cutting machines with the majority of CAD platforms, achieving the highest component output and fastest turnaround times possible.

World machinery managing director Wayne Hipkiss said: ‘We have worked with Lantek for some time in order to deliver a full turnkey package to our customers; it is one thing to buy the right machine, but also vital to make sure it is integrated into your production system in order to achieve the machine’s full potential.”

The Lantek Expert Cut suite is a flexible CADCAM system specially designed to automate the programming of sheet metal cutting machines (oxicut, plasma, laser, water jet). The laser cutting technology modules are specific for each type of machine, providing management of reduced lead-ins, lead-in with runback, customised piercing, sprintlaser, microjoints, microwelds, head management, contour attributes, manual and automatic extractions, etc.

All the options of Lantek Expert are fully integrated in a single program, so designing a part, importing, nesting (automatic or manual), generating the cut (automatic or manual), generating the CNC, looking at the sheet metal store, can be achieved from the same program without switching between programs.

Lantek Expert is also ready for connection to production management systems (ERP), while it also calculates time and cost of cutting any part and also the entire sheet.
